Snow Cone Syrup Recipe
Posted by Cricket Creek on
With the heat of summer upon us it is time for one of my granddaughter's favorite treats: Snow Cones! You might call them something different like shaved ice treats or even slushies, but no matter what name you give them they hit the spot on a hot summer day.
All you need is 3 simple ingredients:
1 cup Water
2 cups White Sugar
1/2 teaspoon of your favorite LorAnn Super Strength Flavoring (available in 78 flavor choices)
In a saucepan, stir the sugar and water together. Bring to a boil, then boil for approximately 1 minute (if you boil for longer the mixture might thicken upon cooling). Remove from heat, and stir in your choice of flavors. If you desire a deeper color you can add in a few drops of liquid food coloring. Allow syrup to cool. Pour over shaved ice to flavor, then ENJOY!
